Elizabeth Mellor    Elizabeth’s paintings reflect her love of, and deep connection to the rich life of the land.   Each painting captures a moment of life.  The small things attract her attention, those often passed by or ignored in the vastness of the Australian bush.  Moths, feathers and insects feature strongly in her work.  They are not anchored in time or place but exist entirely on their own.   Living in rural Victoria has been one of the most important influences in Elizabeth’s art.  She has travelled overseas frequently and this has enabled her to refresh her vision and see Australia through clear eyes.  Her appreciation of the nature of the country, the colours, space and unique wildlife has grown through this experience.
