David Chen David Chen M.A. (Fine Arts), B.A. (Fine Arts), Grad. Dip. Art Edn. is Chinese-born. His artistic credentials speak for themselves. His many prestigious awards include the Silver Hawke Award at the Fourth International Art Contest in Nice in 1992. David came to Australia soon after. His  classical training combined with his own style and technical skill merge to create works of art that delight the minds eye. His painterly approach to laying down oil paint merges to reveal a seascape, landscape or nude from his bold strokes. The more you look at David's work the more you see, it's as if the subject grows and develops whilst you gaze in wonder at his use of paint.
